Interior stairs for fire escape and access to different levels
The evacuation stairs foreseen inside new buildings are mostly made from concrete and are as such an integral part of the building structure.
But in old buildings that are being renovated there is often a need to add an inside fire escape stair and it is very difficult to make that out of concrete.

In - line stairs
These JOMY escape stairs have all flights in one line.
This is the simplest form of fire escape stairs.
These stairs can be installed hanging from the wall or independent of the wall.
These stairs take a lot of groundspace and / or wall space.
For this reason they are only used for lower heights, from 12 to 18 feet max.
Every x number of steps there is a resting platform needed. The number is depending on the local legislations and habits.
Crossed stair flights can be installed perpendicular or parallel to the wall.
Crossed stairs are offered in two positions.
In the parallel layout, all flights are parallel to the wall.
The staircase is composed of two crossed flights per story, one access landing per exit and one intermediate landing in between two stories. The stairs are always located at least 1m from all openings.
In the perpendicular layout, flights are perpendicular to the wall.
